ANGUILLA, B.W.I – January 6, 2015 – Viceroy Anguilla, the premier destination resort on the island of Anguilla, has appointed Jon Gersonde as general manager of the 166-room resort. An industry veteran with more than 25 years of experience, Gersonde will manage resort operations, oversee strategic initiatives and develop new programming.

Gersonde joins Viceroy Anguilla from Turnberry Isle Resort in Florida where he served as the managing director. Prior to his position in the southeast, Gersonde spent time in Hawaii as general manager at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel and as vice president for the Mauna Kea Beach and Hapuna Beach Prince Resorts and Golf Clubs. He also has a number of years of experience working with Starwood Hotels & Resorts and Hyatt International in Hawaii, Guam, the Mariana Islands and the British Virgin Islands. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Hotel Management from Michigan State University.
