Anguilla, British West Indies, January 18, 2016 – Anguilla Watersports is once again adding to its arsenal of top-notch service offerings with the imminent opening of the Aqua Park, the only inflatable water park of its kind in the Caribbean. The structure, a half-size version of which is pictured below, is something never before seen on the shores of Anguilla or any of its neighbouring islands, and will be a fun and safe family-friendly attraction on Cove Bay Beach in front of Smokey’s At-The-Cove, a popular eatery and beach hangout.

Anguilla Watersports’ founding president Mr. Judd Burdon couldn’t be happier that his dream of adding the Aqua Park to the services his company already offers, including its world-renowned Kiteboarding Academy, is becoming a reality. “This has been my dream from the start,” Mr. Burdon explained. “We started with kiteboarding, and now we have the only Kiteboarding Academy on the island. Our paddleboard and kayak tours are virtually legendary, and now we have this new water park. This isn’t just a water park, but it will be an asset that will give every Anguillian child and family – as well as anyone visiting the island – a renewed interest in getting into the water, in addition to having a blast out there in complete safety,” he explained. During his conversation with Mr. Burdon, the Hon. Cardigan Connor, Parliamentary Secretary Responsible for Tourism, Sports, Youth & Culture in Anguilla, said he was excited about the project. “It’s exciting to see so much enthusiasm going into the Aqua Park, which will be a huge attraction for both locals and visitors. I really love seeing people out in the water keeping fit and spending time with their families, and the Aqua Park will provide an ideal opportunity for this. I am confident that Mr. Burdon and his stellar team will succeed in bringing a much-welcome and safe attraction to our island. The fact that it will bear the island’s colours, quite literally, adds a beautiful flair,” he concluded.
The water park will measure 100 feet by 100 feet, and will consist of interconnected trampolines, slides, and climbing structures. It will be under constant supervision in addition to all participants being required to wear lifejackets. It is expected to launch in the coming weeks.
