As 2015 fades into the history books, The Board of Directors and the Secretariat of the Anguilla Hotel & Tourism Association would like to take this opportunity to wish all of its members and the Anguillian community much success in 2016.
The New Year as we have already recognized, will bring new challenges and opportunities. The AHTA is committed to be an advocate for its members and by extension the Tourism Industry.
The Challenges of 2016 and beyond can only be met with the strength of a united association, with members who are willing to be on the front lines and willing to pool resources and information for greater strength. Our organization is in need of data and statistics to equip us to assist Tourism officials and government in making the best possible decisions for our industry. We as members must be willing to share this information to allow for better decision-making and success for our businesses.
The AHTA is also cognizant of the steady rise in the cost of doing business. We all need to make 2016 the year of energy efficiency. The AHTA will advocate to Government for policies to reduce the cost of importing energy efficiency appliances. However, as businesses we need to be proactive and employ some energy saving mechanisms. This will assist our businesses in realizing some savings on what is one of our biggest cost burdens.
So as we go into 2016, we wish all of our members a prosperous and healthy 2016 and a great Tourism Season.
