LIME WISHES TO CONGRATULATE 2015 LIME SPONSORED ENTERTAINER OF THE YEAR – BOSS & THE HORSEPOWER BAND

limeOn Friday, 4th December 2015 at the Annual Anguilla Hotel & Tourism Association gala, Albert Brooks affectionately known as Boss was awarded Entertainer of the year. This prestigious award founded and sponsored by LIME Anguilla is in its 2nd year of fruition. The First award was presented to the talented “Sprocka” last year.
Jade Reymond, Marketing Manager for LIME, the only 4G LTE network in Anguilla, said: “We are pleased to be able to award Boss & the Horspower Band for their contribution to tourism and Anguilla as a whole. We value your hardwork and dedication to the entertainment industry. Congratulations!”
“Boss” was raised by his loving aunt Kelly Brooks known to most as Ma Kelly.
He left Anguilla at an early age to attended Job Corp in the United States and Upon his return to Anguilla, Boss took up the Job as Orderly at the Cottage Hospital and later, transferred to the Princess Alexandra Hospital, where to this date he holds the position of Senior Orderly at the Princess Alexandra hospital.
He has always had a passion for music, and enjoyed singing and entertaining other in his spare time. This love and passion for music, and soon became a profession from which he has successfully enjoyed and shared with others.
Boss have competed on many occasions in the island’s local calypso competitions and placed first runner up with his hit song Cowboy Country.
He has been associated with many Soca bands on the island, such as The North Sound Band, The Multi Sounds, and The AXA Band. He ventured out on his own taking with him some local talents from the Soca Bands he was affiliated with, namely his bass man Imarley and his Keyboardist Fudie. Later he added his guitarist Daniel to the band.
Together the Group of four became known as Boss and the Horsepower band.
Boss is undisputedly the island’s number one crowd pleaser for party music, and enjoys a following, which simply cannot get enough of his music. Boss and the Horsepower Band provides a unique talent to Anguilla’s tourism, and certainly have proven to be a favourite by locals and visiting guest.
As the recepient of the 2015 LIME sponsored Entertainer of the Year – Boss received one year FREE SuperFast Broadband Internet with LIME. We will also like to thank the Anguilla Hotel and Tourism Association for the opportunity to partner with them on this great and world class event.
