Kingston, Jamaica – Tuesday, 8 December, 2015 – Digicel Play today announced that it has signed a deal with A Parent Media Co. Inc. (“APMC”), owner of children’s over-the-top (OTT) entertainment service, Kidoodle.TV®, to bring a new entertainment and educational experience to its growing customer base.

Digicel Play is a new frontier in home entertainment, giving customers the power to have their entertainment and access to the internet the way they want it. It is jam-packed with cool features making it the most attractive home entertainment experience around. As the only true fibre to the home network, Digicel Play turns homes into the ultimate entertainment zones and delivers TV, superfast broadband and telephony coupled with the best channel and content line-up and the best viewing experience.

In addition to the variety of media choices made available through Kidoodle.TV, APMC and Digicel Play will also work together to source and deliver premium content with strong educational and immersive components.

Kidoodle.TV is an award-winning, industry recognised, OTT entertainment service dedicated to providing a wide array of quality entertainment and educational content to kids and families around the world. Designed to accommodate safely the rapidly changing demands of today’s digitally connected families, Kidoodle.TV features robust parental controls, a brightly coloured, easy-to-use interface, a customisable library of content, and now with Family Moments™, is the world’s first kids’ subscription video-on-demand platform to allow consumers to upload and watch family videos and home movies alongside popular children’s programmes.

“We are delighted to be delivering the remarkable Kidoodle.TV technology and content to Digicel customers across our Caribbean markets,” says Digicel Play CEO for the Caribbean and Central America, John Suranyi. “This innovative integration of such an advanced app into our ecosystem is an exciting next step in enabling our customers to access opportunities for positive growth and quality entertainment through our connected services. We are also excited to provide parents with the tools to protect their kids’ media experience while incentivising them to engage in education-based consumption and healthy viewing boundaries. Kidoodle.TV provides an exceptional offering.”

For APMC, the deal signals its first move into global infrastructure expansion. Says APMC President and Kidoodle.TV founder, Michael Lowe, “We are very excited to be working with Digicel. It’s a world class communications and entertainment provider pioneering a unique brand of social development in response to demand for home-based entertainment and learning. We believe that the Kidoodle.TV platform and its disruptive technology will enable Digicel to provide children and families in the region with the modern, immersive, connected experience they want.”

Kidoodle.TV will be made available across Digicel markets in the coming months.
