THE VALLEY, NOVEMBER 30, 2015……The Anguilla Tourist Board (ATB) has engaged the services of the specialist tourism consulting firm MasterConsult Services, to conduct a series of consultations and presentations for tourism stakeholders from November 30th through December 7th, in conjunction with Tourism Week 2015.
Two full day seminars, structured around the theme “Transforming Tourism Through Collaboration and Partnership” – The Singapore Model”, will provide participants with valuable perspectives and thoughtfully crafted proposals for potential solutions to tourism development issues in Anguilla.
In addition to the stakeholder seminars, MasterConsult Services will also undertake to prepare a reconfiguration of the Anguilla Tourist Board, with a view to making the organization more efficient and relevant in today’s fast changing environment.
The project facilitator is Christopher Khoo, owner and managing director of MasterConsult Services and a veteran in Singapore’s consulting, research and tourism industry. Khoo spent 15 years with Singapore Tourism Board, including ten years in Europe overseeing their European operations. He was previously Asia Pacific Director (Hospitality and Leisure) of Pricewaterhouse Coopers Consulting. In July of this year he conducted a wine week workshop in Barbados on Product Development Workshop for the Caribbean Tourism Organization attended by several member territories, including Anguilla.
Khoo has successfully directed all the tourism consulting projects of the company and will personally lead the preparation and presentation of the two seminars. He will also lead the tasks for the Organizational Reconfiguration of the Anguilla Tourist Board. These tasks include, but are not limited to, a review of the legislative and strategy documents concerning tourism, including the Sustainable Tourism Master Plan and all available tourism related statistics and reports; in-depth interviews with government and private sector stakeholders; a review of annual ATB work plans and budgets, along with the major programmes and advertising campaigns undertaken; and an analysis of the existing tourism product and potential in Anguilla.
The two full day seminars took place at the ATB offices on Coronation Avenue on Monday, November 30 , and at the La Vue Conference Room on Thursday, December 3, as follows.
