EARLY ANNOUNCEMENT OF NATIONAL YOUTH WEEK

NYW_Logo_-_Colour_Horizontal_2It is early yet, but the Ministry of Social Development and the Department of Youth and Culture have already announced the holding of the Second Annual National Youth Week of activities.

The preliminary schedule of activities comprises the following:

Sunday, October 4: a National Church Service focussed on Youth Development; Monday, October 5: Radio Addresses; and Swearing in Ceremony of the Anguilla Youth Parliament; Tuesday, October 6: Opening Ceremony of the Ninth Annual National Youth Conference on Youth and Development – to continue on Wednesday, October 7, when there will be a Panel Discussion on Youth Development in the 21st Century; Thursday, October 8: First Official Session of the Anguilla Youth Parliament; a Special Programme of Youth Spin – in celebration of its First Anniversary – on radio; Friday, October 9: the Second Session of the Anguilla Youth Parliament; Saturday, October 10: a Community Service Project; the Second National Youth Awards Ceremony; and the climaxing event will be the Second Annual Youth Splash at Sandy Ground Beach.

The Department of Youth and Culture, the National Youth Ambassador Corps and the Anguilla National Youth Council are collaborating in the arrangements for the Second Annual National Youth Week of celebrations.
