Shakiem Saunders Graduates

ShakA Young Anguillian, Shakiem Saunders, graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and minors in Software Engineering and Information Technology from Southern Polytechnic State University, School of Computing and Software Engineering, Marietta GA. Shakiem began his undergraduate studies at the University in 2012 after attaining his Associates degree in Computer Science from the 6th Form program. He graduated the top student in the University’s Computer Science program on Saturday, May 9th at the Spring 2015 Commencement.

During his studies at SPSU, he was inducted into the National Society of Leadership and Success, Upsilon Pi Epsilon Computing and Information Disciplines Honor Society and was a member of the Southern Polytechnic Information Security Association team.

Shakiem Saunders is the elder of two children of Gertrude and the late Eric “Lord Anything” Saunders of The Farrington.

Shakiem would like to extend his sincere gratitude to all those who supported him and were highly confident in his ability to succeed, especially his mother and other family members.
