ROXXY RELEASES NEW HIT SINGLE ‘PORTION’

On Monday June 22nd 2015, 22 year old, Roxanne ‘Roxxy’ Webster released her NEW hit single ‘PORTION’ to media colleagues, close friends and relatives at a secluded listening event. The listening party was held at ANI VILLA’s in Anguilla’s prestige village, Lime Stone Bay.
At the event, opening remarks were given by Ms. Shellya Rogers of the Department of Youth and Culture. Apart from welcoming the invited guest and introducing the artist, Ms. Rogers said “On behalf of the department, we would like to thank Roxanne for her many contributions of her talents to Anguilla and towards the representation of Anguilla, we are extremely proud and hope to see you continue successfully on this journey”.

Roxanne ‘Roxxy’ Webster was then introduced by her manager Rebecca Webster who gave a brief explanation about the single ‘PORTION’. “Roxxy, as we know her is an energetic solo artist who continues to push herself in the music industry; her new single ‘Portion’ speaks about men who often want to bite off more than they can chew. Therefore Roxxy is advising that they do not over indulge and should just go with their ‘Portion’ in a creative context. This groovy song is one that many females can relate to and I look forward to seeing her perform this and her other song’s LIVE during carnival 2015” she said.

Mr. Vanier Harrigan in closing of the event, observed that Roxxy has been given the response she had hoped to receive at the release. He expressed congratulations to her on the new single and also thanked all the key persons who made the initiative and presentation event possible.

The single was well received by the invited guess and moments later Roxxy was asked to open for Machel Montano at Machel Mayhem event held on August 8th 2015.
She released the single on Tuesday 23rd June 2015, to the general public while giving brief remarks on the release event on Klass Fm 92.9 with Abner ‘DJ HAMMER’ Brooks.
Roxanne ‘Roxxy’ Webster is a native of St.Martin/Anguilla has been on stage from the tender age of 11. Roxanne is strongly committed to advancing and promoting her career as a Caribbean artiste. She continues to display her passion and love for the art form as a competent and compelling calypsonian in her two homes, St.Maarten and Anguilla. Roxanne’s musical career took off when she began singing as a lead vocalist of the “ABC BAND” and thereafter she became a solo artist with her hit single DELETE.

The hit “Delete” has gained Roxxy her first nominations for awards in categories “best new female soca artist ” and “best soca music video” in 2012’s 10th annual international soca awards held in California. Roxanne redeemed successful for the “Best music video award” in tie with Machel Montano of Trinidad and Tobago with his video “vibes cyan done”. Roxanne is excited and enthusiastic about her achievement and has since embarked on a promotional tour to neighboring islands and just recently the U.S.
Roxxy has performed on shoes opening for artiste like short shirt, calypso rose, Pantha vibes international, jam band international, Kassav Band out of Guadeloupe /France, Destra Garcia of TNT and most recently OlaTunji the 2015 groovy king of TNT.
