At 7:50 pm on Monday 8th June, 2015 members of the Royal Anguilla Police Force responded to a report of a robbery in progress at The Key Wings Supermarket in The Keys, in Island Harbour during which a firearm was discharged.
Preliminary investigations on the scene revealed that the assailant who was wearing a hoody at the time entered the supermarket and discharged a firearm injuring one person before hastily leaving without taking anything.
The victim who was the owner and cashier at the time received upper body injury and was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital by EMTs and attended to for the injury received and later discharged.
As the Police continue their investigation into this matter they are appealing to members of the public who may have been in the area of The Key Wings Supermarket and may have witnessed this shooting incident or have any information regarding this shooting to contact the Valley Police Station with such information. The telephone number is 497-2333 and asks for the Criminal Investigation Department or to speak to any Police Officer of their choice.

This is the second shooting in as many days and the police are once again appealing to business owner to ensure that they seek to implement security measures at their place of business that will ensure their safety as well as that of their customers.
