Heritage Fest 2015, with its theme “Planning for the Future”, was the main feature of the assembly programme at Campus A at the Albena Lake-Hodge Comprehensive School on Friday, May 29.

The heritage event, which continued through the day, comprised displays of various aspects of the traditional life, customs and culture of Anguilla including a variety of food, artifacts, clothing and other items of cultural and historic interest.
The guest speaker was Ms Veronique Rogers and the guest artiste was the Mighty Springer. The programme also featured poetry presentations. These included the writings of budding poets Cimone Richardson “Buh How”; Rojann Forbes “J’ouvert”; Amethyst Davis, Dwayne Adams and Vanessa Thompson “I miss Anguilla”.
There were also musical sessions presented by the ALHCS Steel Orchestra and Exclusive Band – and rap sessions by Kleonn Lake, Tavaun Richardson and Christoph Pradel.
Of much interest was the modelling of outfits featuring the national colours of Anguilla. This event was both timely and popular, coming during the celebrations leading up to Anguilla Day.
