Tamisha also received the Rookie of the Year honours for Women’s tennis in the 2015 Spring season. Her outstanding contribution to the VSU Lady Trojans’ tennis team placed them 3rd in the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) .

When asked about her achievements Tamisha stated, ” I can proudly affirm that Coach Mitch has propelled me to be the student I am now currently attending Virginia State University. I found the truth in his deep words that with hard work and commitment I can be successful, and receiving an athletic scholarship to play tennis while in college was proof.”

Her strong work ethic and persistence in her academics and tennis will help her achieve continued success in her remaining years at Virginia State University.”
