We of the DOVE Party congratulate the Anguilla United Front on their resounding victory in the general election by capturing six of the seven seats in the general on 22nd April. We also congratulate Ms. Pamavon Webster on her success by winning the seat in district one. We live in a democracy, the people of Anguilla have spoken and we should all respect that.
The DOVE team wishes to thank all who supported us during the campaign and at the polls. We are especially grateful for those who affirmed us for running a campaign that was clean, truthful and issue oriented. Despite the widespread national appeal, the results of the elections were not as expected.
As a party we wish to assure you that we stand ready to support good initiatives of the Goverment and challenge those initiatives which are not in the best interest of the people as a whole. We wish to remain relevant and will use this period to refocus and buildout. Our vision is for a progressive and sustainable Anguilla with priority focus on, the economy, people development and the strengthening of our democracy.
Again, best wishes to Anguilla’s new Government under the leadership of the Honorable Chief Minister, Mr. Victor Banks.
May God continue to guide the people and may God bless our land, Anguilla.
