As part of its initiatives to heighten awareness of Anguilla in its major markets, the Anguilla Tourist Board hosted a three day familiarization visit for press and tour operators from the island of Puerto Rico.
The fam visit, which took placed from April 30 to May 3 was organized as part of the events to mark the introduction of service by Seaborne Airlines to Anguilla from San Juan as of April 30, 2015.
The group included Janerys Astacio of Presencia Newspaper; Mary Cruz of A&A Tours; Zulma Lozano of Alpha & Omega Tours; Denise Zoe Boria of Vacentive Group; Celinda Perez of Pop Corn Tours; Ingrid Estarellas of E-Vacations and Ivan Parrilla of HB Travel. Accompanying the group were Raquel Echandi of ATB Puerto Rico and Sharon Richardson-Lowe, Visitor Services Officer with the Anguilla Tourist Board.
During the three day visit, the group which was hosted by The Anguilla Great House Beach Resort, had the opportunity to enjoy Anguilla’s magnificent cuisine as they dined at a number of restaurants around the island including Blanchard’s, Tokyo Bay at CuisinArt , Smokey’s at Cap Juluca. The group also engaged in a number of site visits to the properties which are offering special resident rates for travelers from Puerto Rico, including Anguilla Great House, Anacaona Boutique Hotel, Cap Juluca Hotel, Carimar Beach Club, CuisinArt Golf Resort & Spa, Frangipani Beach Resort, Malliouhana – An Auberge Resort, Paradise Cove Resort , Shoal Bay Villas and Viceroy Resort & Villas.
