RAPF REPORTS: Man arrested for wounding and armed with offensive weapon

Police on Thursday 19th March, 2015 at about 1:15pm responded to a report of fight between two males in South Hill involving a weapon.

On arrival officers met and spoke to a 58 year old man from South Hill who was later arrested on suspicion of wounding and armed with an offensive weapon to wit a cutlass. The alleged victim was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital by the ambulance.
The defendant was on Friday 20th March, 2015 charged with the offences of wounding and armed with an offensive weapon and taken before the Magistrate’s Court. He was remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison until Monday 23rd March, 2015 when he is due to re appear before the Magistrate to answer to the charges.
