This day of fun provides primary students enrolled at the Special Education Needs units across the island, the opportunity to interact while having fun skipping, hola hooping, bottle tagging, running and even a friendly engagement of tug-a-war. The Department of Education expressed sincere gratitude to Digicel for their ongoing commitment to the Special Education Needs centers on the island.

At the presentation, Marketing Executive Roxanne Webster was joined by Head of Special needs, Jaqueline Jeffery Connor and Special needs teacher, Ms. Natisha Davis. Ms. Davis expressed, “We applaud the Digicel team for their keenness to support this year’s Special Ed week and we hope to see such initiatives in the future.”

Mrs. Jacqueline Jeffery Connor said, “Students at the centers look forward every year to Digicel’s presence especially around Christmas time, we have seen much growth in the community through the assistance of Digicel and we are happy that they have partnered to support this year’s Special Ed week.”
Digicel’s firm commitment was seen in 2007 when they refurbished the special educational needs classroom at the Orealia Kelly Primary School after a fire, their commitment to assisting special needs centers such as Blossom Center and Dove center and more.

Marketing Executive Roxanne Webster commented; “Digicel’s support towards the numerous special needs centers, has shown the development and empowerment of the youth and the fostering of young children in the Anguilla. I wish to say at this time, ‘Happy Special Education Week to all students, parents and teachers, we are happy to be on board.”
