The Blowing Point Community came out with their dogs in great numbers to make the AARF Doggy wash a great success on Saturday afternoon. There were Rottweilers, Chihuahuas, Pit Bulls and our island dogs, all getting their ticks and fleas washed away. Students from St James Medical School volunteered to wash the dogs and the Blowing Point Youth Development Centre which provided the facilities. Special thanks goes, however, to Joseph Vanterpool for providing water to ensure that we could replenish the cistern; and the Environmental Health Department did a complimentary insecticide spray of the area so that no ticks could breed.
