DSCN9199The high level of training and dedication which is being put into competitive football in Anguilla is paying off well, with both the female and male teams dominating matches against off-island teams.

The latest in this apparent growing episode of successes was a weekend match when the Anguilla Male Football Team travelled to St. Martin on Sunday, March 15, to take part in a friendly match with their competitors there.
Anguilla dominated that match with a 2 – nil victory. The goal scorers for the Anguilla players were Glenville Rogers and Jonathan Guishard.

According to Coach Ricardo, for the Anguilla Male Team, all 17 members had an opportunity to play during the match; and all of them performed greatly and for that they deserved to win.

An upcoming exciting FIFA-supported match will be one between the Anguilla Male Team and a visiting Male Team from Nicaragua. It will take place at the Anguilla Football Stadium on Sunday, March 29.
