The celebration of the 43rd Police Week also involved senior citizens from all across the island. Attending a lunch held in their honour by the Police, on Thursday 29 January, were members of all of the care homes in Anguilla as well as specially invited guests. The care homes residents came fromthe Mirrium Gumbs Senior Citizens Home, Tender Loving Care Senior Citizens Home, Just Tender Care Senior Citizens Home and Rose Wood Senior Citizens Home. They were accompanied by senior staff members.
According to Chairperson Constable Maurice Bryson Esq. the lunch was part of a community drive. It was an opportunity to let the senior citizens know that they are respected and appreciated for the contributions they have made to the community, and to the Royal Anguilla Police Force, in particular, over the years.
