RAPF REPORTS: Royal Anguilla Police Force announces appointment of Public and Media Relations Officer

Commissioner of Police, of the Royal Anguilla Police Force, Mr. Rudolph Proctor, has announced the appointment of Sgt. Chrispen Gumbs as the organizations Public and Media Relations Officer, PMR Officer. The Commissioner explained that as the Royal Anguilla Police Force continues to improve on its service to the public the appointment of Sgt. Gumbs is very timely and fitting. In presenting Sgt. Gumbs to the media Commissioner Proctor remarked that he will now be the new face of the RAPF.

Sgt. Gumbs who has over 24 years of service will now serve as the principal contact for the media and the public, with the RAPF. He will also be responsible for promoting the RAPF and creating close working relationships and liaison between the various elements of the media and the RAPF.

Sgt. Gumbs’ appointment was made possible with funding from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office through the Governor’s Office here in Anguilla who facilitated a two (2) weeks attachment with the Public and Media Relations Unit of the Bermuda Police Service. There Sgt. Gumbs was exposed to the operations of the unit on a day to day basis. He was alsoexposed to actual on scene press briefings, press releases and press conferences.
