The Ambassador Pathfinder Club on Sunday 8th Feb 2014 with assistance from the Anguilla Fire and Rescue Service completed its Fire safety Training as a part of its ongoing training and honours program. The training was done for the Ranger, Voyager, Guide (Pathfinders ages 14-16) class as well as the staff. A total of thirty three (33) pathfinders and staff were trained in a three hour theory and practical class.
Leading Firefighter, Carlisle Lake facilitated as the instructor for the fire-safety training. Pathfinders and staff were taught the basic usage of fire extinguishers by participating in the interactive lecture, as well as in a number of drill exercises. He hoped that the Pathfinders would now practice fire-safety in their outdoor activities as well as in their homes.
Deputy Director Shanette Smith thanked the instructor and his team noting that : “It was very informative, and we are now equipped with some important basic knowledge,” she commented. “This will be of great assistance to us in our practice of fire safety.”
