Wednesday 11th February 2015, Anguilla- Digicel has contributed to the Albena Lake Hodge Comprehensive School (A.L.H.C.S) Literary and Debating Society.
The ALHCS Literary and Debating Society is very appreciative and honoured that Digicel has supported the club. Digicel has proven to be good corporate citizens by investing in Anguilla’s most important resource, its young people.
Roxanne Webster, Marketing Executive commented, “As a company that is strongly committed to community development, we are pleased to have the opportunity to support the debating society’s endeavor’s. Being a member of the Literary and debating society not only aids in the personal growth of our youth, but it also equips them with skills that will be useful to them in the professional realm”.
Kerchelle Jn Charles, Head of Commercial stated; “As a business, we are ultimately responsible for our communities and its people. If there is ever an opportunity to support youth empowerment and development, I can assure, that Digicel will endorse it.”
At the Check presentation, Principal of the Albena Lake Hodge Comprehensive School; Mrs. Lake, thanked Digicel on behalf of the Literary Debating team and assured that the Anguilla group will do exceptionally well.
The Management and staff of Digicel, would like to wish the team good luck and leave them with a quote of inspiration. “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use, to change the world” – Nelson Mandela.
