MAUNDAYS BAY, Anguilla – Cap Juluca – the idyllic resort in the British West Indies with all newly refurbished beach front guestrooms in 15 exclusive villas – has been ranked as the best hotel in Anguilla by U.S. News & World Report, a leading provider of online service news and information focusing on travel and other lifestyle categories.

Rankings by U.S. News are based on an unbiased rating system determined by a combination of TripAdvisor guest ratings, awards and recognition and hotel class. “The Best Hotels of 2015” lists more than 2,500 top properties in the United States, Caribbean, Mexico and Canada. The magazine’s goal in compiling this distinguished list is to aid its over seven million unique monthly viewers in making educated decisions when searching for exceptional travel destinations.

In its review of Cap Juluca, U.S. News reports guests “appreciate extra touches like the Bose Wave music system and Molton Brown bath amenities, as well as the availability of in-room spa treatments” and also cites the villa oceanfront views, private guestroom terraces, weekly tennis clinics and the resort’s four garden-to-table dining venues.

Over the last three years, Cap Juluca owners Charles and Linda Hickox have invested over $20 million to refresh the 26-year-old property’s guestrooms, villas, restaurants and stunning public spaces. This dedicated investment into making a much-loved romantic getaway even more enticing has led to this year’s U.S. News recognition, as well as other recent accolades, including being named one of the “10 Best Beach Hotels in the World” by Coastal Living in 2015; and in 2014 cited as one of “Readers’ Choice Top 50 Best Resorts in the Caribbean” by Condé Nast Traveler. Other awards earned in 2014, include a Wine Spectator “Award of Excellence” designation; TripAdvisor’s “Certificate of Excellence”; being listed by Brides magazine on its “Top 5 Resorts in The Caribbean for Honeymoons” list; and designated “Best Caribbean Hotel” by Condé Nast Johansens.

“Receiving U.S. News & World Report’s #1 Hotel in Anguilla recognition, as well as our other recent kudos and awards, makes us very proud of our lovely Caribbean retreat and the outstanding service all our devoted staff at Cap Juluca contribute to our successes on a daily basis,” said resort owners Charles and Linda Hickox.
