According to a spokesman for the Royal Anguilla Police Force, the preliminary inquiry (PI) into charges against two persons, of Kittitian origin, for their alleged murder of a fellow country-man is expected to begin shortly.
The charging and arresting of the two followed the discovery by the police of the body of Kenya Francis-Mitcham, a national of St Kitts, on the floor of an apartment at South Hill, on December 15, 2014.
The two accused, who were formally charged on December 17, are 20-year-old Diayan Austin, and 35-year-old Clive Hodge. They were charged with murder, possession of ammunition and two counts of possession of a firearm.
One of them was born in St Kitts and the other in St Maarten, but both hold an Anguilla passport. They appeared before the Magistrate’s Court on December 18 for a bail hearing, but were remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison.
