The Faith Foundation wishes to extend a Happy New Year to all its well wishers. Last year has been a challenge for victims and their families affected by gun crime. The Faith Foundation has made many efforts to provide continued support for some of our brothers and sisters who have had to face these challenges.
Having increased awareness among the local community to gun crime and its effects, this year the Faith Foundation aims to focus on whole communities by taking a more preventative stance in an effort to curb gun crime.
Last year, we set out to create a Faith Foundation Victims Fund, which will enable contributions from donors to go directly to victims, medical or other institutions to cover outstanding medical expenses and funeral costs that families are often times left with.
Faith Foundation provided support for the family of Nekyle Davis who is currently receiving medical treatment in the UK.
We partnered with Transpharm Ltd. during its Tattoo Week to launch our “Grant a Wish” program and training session for Marsh Niles. Throughout the year the Faith Foundation was given the chance to shine at the Into The Blue Music Festival, which featured Peetah, Gramps Morgan of Morgan Heritage, who also took the time out to visit victims and their families, offering words of encouragement.

Most recently the Faith Foundation visited the local schools for their aptly dubbed “SLOW-GUN” Competition . The organization involved the children and youth in an effort to get their perspective on gun crime and violence. The Faith Foundation believes that the youth hold within them the power to change the course of this world for the better. It was equally important for the young persons to recognize this and their responsibility in ensuring that Anguilla remains a safe and tranquil island.
The winning entry for the slogan competition was caputured by Shakera Browne of Valley Primary School and Isabella Gray of The Omolulu International School. The slogan was announced during Faith Week, Nov-2nd- 8th, and placed on this year’s billboard with artwork also created by Shakera Browne of Valley Primary School.
