Some 461 tourists, aboard the cruise ship, Europa 2, and 379 crew members, were in Anguilla on Tuesday this week, as part of a Caribbean tour. The Anguilla leg of the ship’s visit was handled by Malliouhana Travel & Tours.

However, according to Ms Ann Ruan, a representative of the company, it was previously-arranged for the visitors to spend their leisure time on the island at their own liking. Some of them were nevertheless taken on brief tours of the island.

The ship reportedly began its trip to the Caribbean region on December 20. It arrived at Road Bay, Anguilla, from Antigua on Monday night. Its next port of call was San Juan before returning to Miami.

The large cruise ship was preceded in Anguilla by a number of smaller ships, as well as several yachts, which anchored at Road Bay.
