Dear Sir,
Re: “Smart Cities” – “Good Country”
Leading students from the ALHCS .ai Incubator program are grooming themselves for entrepreneurship.
On February 5, 2015, at 7:00 pm in the Teachers’ Resource Centre, they will deliver compelling five-minute speeches on how and why Anguilla is the ideal location for the innovation, incubation and development of ‘Smart City’ application and processes.
These young entrepreneurs will be competing for U$1000 in cash prizes for the best speech on “ai-deas for business and technology” that will stimulate growth, locally and from abroad, in this new age of “The Internet of Things”.
Sharing our Anguilla advantages, globally, has already led to many international “firsts” and successes like the ACORN online registry system. The goal of the .ai Anguilla Incubator project is to stimulate more of these “firsts” and earn the reputation of a “Good Country” so as to qualify for the “Good Country Index”.
I would like to introduce your readers to Mr. Simon Anholt, author of the ‘Good Country Index’, http://goo.gl/aWLLEI. Mr. Anholt is an influential country-level policy advisor who also features on many TED talks and YouTube sites which encourage planet-wide collaboration on global issues.
At the Speech Challenge event on February 5th, we also intend to announce a contest to encourage all Anguillians to participate in the ‘Good Country’ membership and goals. The prizes include a round trip ticket to London, and to Tallinn, Estonia – another small country which has opened its doors both globally and digitally to extensive internet services just as we did in Anguilla with ACORN!
Please join us on Facebook at ‘Anguilla-Counts’; register for a ‘Good Country’ membership at ‘PlaceSpeak’ via the website (www.placespeak.com); and support the .ai Incubator students at their Speech Challenge on February 5th by participating with our young entrepreneurs in their quest to put Anguilla on the “Good Country Index” – with Mr. Anholt’s support and encouragement to do so.
Sincerely
Lynwood S. Bell
