Commissioner of Police, Mr. Rudolph Proctor, has confirmed that the Royal Anguilla Police Force on Saturday 24th January, 2015 at about 8:45pm received a report of a threat, made to the home of The Hon. Chief Minister, and received by his wife, Mrs. Norma Hughes.
Police responded to the report and began an investigation into the matter. Police can now confirm that they have identified the owner of the device used and the perpetrator of the call made.
At the time of the call The Hon. Chief Minister was not at the residence and at no time was either himself, his wife or any member of his family at any risk of any harm or danger.
The Commissioner will also like to state that this is an isolated incident and does not have any bearings of being political.
An investigation into this matter is ongoing.
