Staff and patients of the Health Authority of Anguilla, as well as members of the community, were delighted to share in an inspirational Christmas Service on Christmas Eve at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. The event was dubbed “A Christmas Experience 2014”.

Mr George Brown, the recently-appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Health Authority, delivered the Christmas Message in which he extended best wishes to all. He took the opportunity to thank the staff for their hard work and continued commitment to improve the delivery of service during 2014.

“The continued delivery of safe and quality services to patients and clients is dependent, more than ever before, on the professionalism and extra commitment of our staff,” he stated. “It is through this dedication and commitment that we will be able to deliver increased levels of service – and this should be exemplary of the Health Authority.”

Mr Brown went on: “There is a call for leadership and commitment to provide a more responsive, efficient and caring health system. We will be applying quality methods to improve the efficiency of our care, including the need to enable us to spend more direct time with patients in order to improve the quality of their care. Our primary objective is to ensure that we empower and urge our health system providers to put patients first, and to demonstrate kindness and compassion in all our interactions with patients and their families.”
