CRY BABIES
Just when I thought that the AUM was making me sick with its blame game, along comes the DOVE. The AUM/DOVE are the same – behaving like cry babies. People of Anguilla, if your parents leave nothing for you when they die, do you spend the rest of your life cursing them and blaming them, or do you pull yourself by your bootstraps and get working for yourself? Do you not show what you can do? Do you not formulate your own plans, put them into action and build your own future? That’s what we expect these knuckleheads to do, but what do they do?
They have spent the last 4 years plus doing nothing but cursing and blaming the AUF for their own ineptitudes. And now they are signing all these meaningless MOUs that will never come off the paper they are written on. And, worst of all, the AUM has appointed a new leader who seems even less capable than anyone I have heard of so far.
This new leader has even insulted the father of the nation. Did you hear him, voters of District 1? Only a Hubert Hughes representative could do something like that, and you know who Hubert is. He has represented District 6 all of his political life. And tell me this, people of District 6: why does your District look so run down? Why is the Road School falling apart? Where are you well-equipped playing fields? Look at the clinic! Look at the main port of entry for our visitors! The only things that stand out in District 6 are Greig’s building and equipment.
People of District 6, are you going to continue the Hughes Dynasty? Why, because the young mouth is louder than the old? Because his alleged lies sound more convincing? Because his promises sound more plausible?
District 6, try to recall what Papa Doc and Baby Doc did for Haiti and pledge that it never happens here. Therefore open your eyes, your ears, your mouths and your understanding. Vote wisely. Let us all do it together.
