INVESTMENT EDUCATION SYMPOSIUM IN ANGUILLA

The two-day 5th Annual Investment Education Symposium held at La Vue Hotel was sponsored by the Anguilla Social Security Board (SSB) in collaboration with the International Social Security Association (ISSA) and CARICOM.
At the Opening Ceremony on November 20th, the invocation was delivered by Pastor Victor Brooks, Deputy Chairman of the SSB, who also delivered Remarks on behalf of the Chairman, Mr. Alkins Rogers.
The National Song was performed by Michael “Dumpa” Martin on the steelpan. Welcome Remarks were delivered by the Director of Social Security Mr. Timothy Hodge, who also chaired the Opening Ceremony.

In his Remarks, Dr. Aidan Harrigan, Permanent Secretary Finance, challenged the participants to take as much as they could from the Symposium to the benefit of their Social Security systems.

The Feature Remarks were delivered by Ms. Jasmine Turner, Vice President investments/Wealth Management, UBS, who has been the driving force behind the establishment and continued hosting of the Annual Symposium. The Symposium was attended by over 30 presenters and participants from the USA and the Caribbean.
