I totally agree. My thing is Anguilla has so much to offer not only to our tourist but to our people. We have people who are making major decisions that will affect us down the road for years to come. We are a naive people. But I thinks it's about time we wake up to the reality of politricks. This in my opinion is nothing but an attempt to get votes and they are doing it in a ruthless way by not even telling us in any meetings or having it discussed in the house of assembly. Is Anguilla being runned by an oligarchy?
With the privitization of water and electricity, you would think that we would in our right mind keep what ever wealth producing establishments we have close to us. But to sell it for a dollar? Am I missing something here? And on top of that there is a 7 year tax waive. I totally agree with their position of renovating the airport as it would dramatically help with boosting the economy. But I think there needs to be a gradual approach to this. We still need to keep the ferry boat and other private business into perspective. Yes they are not able to get a loan but I think Anguilla has the ability to generate the money needed to help with the airport even if it means going to those same private water and electricity companies which would help them both in the long run anyway as the influx of people will help both companies financially. But if they were not privatised in the first place the economy would be in a better state.

Knowing the personalities in this issue i am left to believe that this has a more deeper plot and i wont be surprised if those persons produce an eloquent explanation to this in hopes of reassuring the people of their integrity. If so it would mean that they perceive Anguillians to be simple minded people that have to be manipulated. Always remember what glitters is not necessarily Gold. In addition it shows that those same personalities do not realize that they engage people whose intentions are not for the Anguillian people, namely the fact that they would propose that non unionized works are only to be hired. That is illegal to even put in a proposal and it had to be discussed with the Special Assistant. Thus it is safe to say that there is no integrity in this Special Assistant.
