Family and friends of Dr. Timarah Hodge celebrated with her as she graduated from the University of the West Indies (UWI), Mona Campus, Jamaica, on Friday October 31st, 2014 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degrees (MBBS).
Dr. Hodge’s graduation followed two years of study at UWI (Mona), after transferring from UWI, St. Augustine Campus, Trinidad where she had completed the first three years of the programme and obtained a Bachelor of Basic Medical Science degree in 2012. She had earlier obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at the University of the Virgin Islands in 2009.
Dr. Hodge is now undertaking a one-year internship with the South East Regional Health Authority in Jamaica, rotating between Kingston Public Hospital, Victoria Jubilee Hospital and Bustamante Hospital for Children.
Dr. Hodge is the daughter of Timothy and Josette Hodge of Island Harbour, Anguilla, and the granddaughter of Olive Hodge and Carmen Hall, who were all present at the Graduation along with Timarah’s sisters Joya, Jordia and Timoya and her fiancé Rudy Fleming.
Dr. Timarah Hodge has stated that she is overwhelmed by the many expressions of congratulations she has received, and wishes to thank Almighty God, her parents who supported her throughout her studies, and all those who have contributed in some way to her achievements to date.
