The Adrian T Hazell School is the recipient of six brand new desk computers. The equipment was donated by a former Anguillian student (at what was then the Road Primary School) and a friend – both of whom reside in the United States.

The computers were presented to the Principal, Mrs Tracelyn Hamilton, on their behalf on Thursday, November 6, by Ms Monica Hodge, Manager of Malliouhana-ANICA Insurance Company.
“It is an honour for me to stand here representing my nephew, Henry Mussington, as well as his colleague and friend, Mr Adam Gerson, employees of Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School in New York, who donated these computers to the Adrian T Hazell Primary School,” Ms Hodge said.

“This shows that Henry has not forgotten his upbringing and the firm foundation he received when he attended the Road Primary School – and he is willing to help the teachers and students in a small way. Presenting these computers signifies that the education he received is forever etched in his mind.”

Replying, Mrs Hamilton said in part: “On behalf of the staff, parents, pupils, and on my own behalf, we would like to express our thanks to Mr Mussington and his colleague for their thoughtfulness. These computers will go a long way in helping our children to continue their education and we say a hearty thank you. It was very challenging when we started this year at the Adrian T Hazell Primary School, but we know it will get better and this is one good way of raising our hopes.”

Asked by The Anguillian whether there was a need for additional computers, the Principal replied: “Of course, we do need more. We have a computer lab but many of the computers are not working, so we welcome this new equipment. With a roll of 282 students, we really need more computers.”
