JET SKIS POLICY

Please keep the ban on jet skis in Anguillia! We have had a place in Anguilla for over 30 years. During that time, it has been pointed out to us, by many, many friends who tourist in Anguilla, how lovely it is to not hear the squeal of jet skis. More and more lakes and ocean resorts in the US are banning them. There is a reason for this – they intrude upon all. Anguilla Tourist Bureau devotes a lot of print describing the “Tanquillity Wrapped in Blue”. Jet skis interrupt tranquility, for sure. Also, they wreck reefs.

I believe that the introduction of jet skis into Anguilla will send a horrid message to those of us who have invested in Anguilla and for others considering doing so. And I can promise you that you will lose the high-end tourist base. Immediately. Tourists are fickle. They find new tranquil islands. I hope we hear from others soon before a very, very large mistake is made by the Anguillian Government.
