In keeping with its objectives to raise the profile of Anguilla within its major market, the USA, the Anguilla Tourist Board is pleased to report a series of outstanding articles across s number of media outlets and publications in the USA this week. Anguilla was featured with a two-page write up in the Out & About section of top luxury magazine, Town & Country. The Travel Editor, Klara Glowczewska, has vacationed in Anguilla for years and recounts a recent trip to the island, spotlighting the Malliouhana re-opening. The piece also appears in the November issue. Town & Country shares and shapes its readers’ discerning tastes in fashion, travel, design, beauty, health, the arts and antiques, with a circulation of more than 460,000. The average magazine reader is 49 years old, married and has an annual household income of more than $115,000, which is an ideal target demographic for Anguilla.
Anguilla was also featured on online travel site FathomAway.com as a destination guide. The writer for the experiential travel site titled her article You Belong in Anguilla to describe her experiences, blending images of the island with the various hotels/resorts, restaurants and places visited. FathomAway.com receives more than 50,000 unique monthly visitors and the article was also featured on Twitter to Fathom’s nearly 10,000 followers.
Meanwhile, the destination was featured in the December issue of Andrew Harper Traveler in the Best of the Caribbean round-up of the top islands and resorts most booked, spotlighting Cap Juluca, as well as Dune Preserve and The Pumphouse as places to end a day in Anguilla. Little Bay and Maundays Bay were included as top beaches in the Caribbean, and pigeon peas and rice as one of the top Caribbean foods to try. Lloyd’s, were featured in a recent round-up of the Caribbean’s Best Bed & Breakfasts by leading Caribbean news site, Caribbean Journal. Caribbean Journal receives more than 25,000 unique monthly visitors.
