5 THEFTS, 2 BURGLARIES REPORTED TO POLICE

According to the weekly Wednesday Police Report, eight crimes were committed in Anguilla during the period October 22-29.

Among the offences were five thefts at West End, Rey Hill, Stoney Ground, The Valley and Blowing Point.

The stolen items included electric wire, a cellular phone, gas bottle, jewellery and a sum of money.
There were two burglaries at Sandy Ground and Meads Bay. Among the stolen items were a flat screen television and buckets of paint.

Five persons were arrested during the above period as follows: two females for immigration purposes; one male for theft; one male for possession of a firearm and ammunition; and one male for taking a conveyance.

There were eight minor traffic accidents.
