ANGUILLA AMATEUR BODYBUILDING & FITNESS FEDERATION SPORTS NEWS:-
The Anguilla Amateur Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (AABBFF) recently held their 13th Annual Bodybuilding and Fitness Championship on Saturday 5th July, 2014 where Geshaune Clark won the title Mr. Anguilla Bodybuilding he has been the title holder for the last three years. Roxann Pinnock won the Ms. Anguilla Figure for the fourth consecutively year, Macwhirr Lewis won the overall Male Physique and Nicole Gumbs won the Bikini category.
On Thursday 2nd to Sunday 5th October, the AABBFF will be travelling to the 42nd Central American & Caribbean Bodybuilding & Fitness Championship Games(CAC) in St. Maarten, where we will represent our island Anguilla along with 27 countries and over 300 Athletes .
The Anguilla team is made up of, Roxann Pinnock and Deidra Bell (Figure), Nicole Gumbs and Joann Philip (Bikini), Macwhirr Lewis, Myron Connor, Hilroy Alfred, Duquaine Brooks, Kishon Rogers and Stedroy Hodge (Men’s Physique), Geshaune Clarke (Junior Bodybuilder and Light Middle Weight), Verdine Connor and McCiver Peter (Bodybuilding Middle Weight), Vernon Carty (Heavy Weight) and Michael Connor as Coach.
The Delegates are Ms. Lelia Richardson (Vice President), Ms. Vernette Reid (Secretary), Ms. Valencia Williams (Treasurer). Also travelling also will be the only two qualified IFBB Judges from Anguilla Mrs. Celestine Pradel and Mr. S. Joseph Pradel (President of the AABBFF).
We would like to thank the general public for your continued support over the years and look forward to seeing you in St. Maarten as we support our Anguilla team in great numbers. The championship will be held at the Sonesta Maho Resort with the Semifinals on Friday 3rd October and Finals on Saturday 4th October 2014.
Netball
The Anguilla Amateur Netball Association is excited to once again host their annual village netball league. The Four(4) teams participating are Stoney Ground, The Valley, East, West. Games will be held at the volleyball court on the James Ronald Webster Park starting at 7:00pm.
Games are as follows:-
Friday 26th Sep.
7:00pm – EAST vs. WEST
8:15pm – STONEY GROUND vs. VALLEY
Saturday 27th Sep.
7:00pm – VALLEY vs. WEST
8:15 – EAST vs STONEY GROUND
Sunday 28th Sep.
7:00pm – EAST vs. VALLEY
8:15pm – STONEY GROUND vs. WEST
The general public is invited to come out and support your village.
Refreshments will be on sale as the A. A N.A seek to raise funds for the development of netball in Anguilla.
