This was announced in a release to The Anguillian by the founder and owner Mr Hugo Rey, on Tuesday this week, August 26. The rest of the release reads as follows:

“At age 25 years the Management and Staff of Rey’s Funeral Home showed thanks and appreciation to the people of Anguilla, and other countries, by giving back to the country and those we served during that Anniversary Year.

“All funeral services during that year were given package discounted prices. There was a 100% discount among the packages. During this anniversary, the Management of Rey’s also plans to give back in like manner, on the 40th Anniversary year of service to the people of Anguilla, and to the citizens of other countries that we may serve during that period and after, God willing.

“On April 1st 2014, we began giving Anniversary package discounts to the families we serve, and this will continue until such time as the Management determines. We hasten to say that the discounted packages are for all families we serve during the 40th Anniversary Year.

“As all would be aware, we serve the Government of Anguilla in part, with Coroner’s Cases. The Government was given a discounted price during the 25th Anniversary and will be given a discounted price during the 40th Anniversary also.

“The discount a family will receive will begin from $500.00 US and will be increased by $100.00 US increments up to a discount of $1,000.00 US according to the package selected.

“There are no daily charges to families who entrust their loved ones to the care of Rey’s Funeral Home. We are making it clear that there are no charges for the days your loved ones remain at the funeral home before burial.

“There will be three special discounts given to families whose loved ones die on September 3rd or September 5th, 2014. The discounts will be 40% of any package price in the range of $4,000.00 US up to $6,000.00; for a loved one who dies on September 4, 2014, the family will receive 100% discount of any package price selected in the range of $4,000.00 US to $6,000.00 US.

“The regular senior citizen discount will continue, also a free service for babies one year and under.

“The Management and Staff of Rey’s Funeral Home appreciate your patronage and support over the years. Our Motto of giving to the families we serve – “A Dignified Funeral Affordable to All” – will always be with us as we seek to advance our services, should we receive the cooperation and authority to reach another much-needed level.

“Anguilla and its people will always have the love and appreciation of the Management and Staff of Rey’s Funeral Home, and we will strive to uphold the high standard of service which is expected from us.

“Thank you again for your patronage and support, as we go forward to serving you.”
