Policemen’s Boots
This is just a comment which someone may see fit to clarify for us. Are we missing something here? Have some rules changed and the public not been informed? At a recent event, the Royal Anguilla Police Force presented a remarkable display of ‘pomp and circumstance’ except for one item – seemingly they forgot their boots!
To the surprise of many, only one officer (a female) wore regulation black, shiny boots. Another officer wore what are called ‘sketchers’. Aren’t boots supposed to be part of the whole uniform? Whatever the reason for no proper boots – it simply did not look official and really spoiled the whole presentation. Pity!
