Ms Aurjul Wilson, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, told the participants that in setting the objectives for 2014, she thought it prudent to include as part of the activities an element to encourage inter-departmental collaboration in a more formal setting.
The aim of the event was also to provide an opportunity for participants to learn some of the duties of officers in other departments; a chance to socialise; as well as to see how Heads of Department interrelate; and to relieve stress through a series of fun-filled activities.

There were presentations by Dr Clyde Bryan, an physician in private practice; Dr Phyllis Fleming Banks, Development Sociologist; and Mrs Vernice Battick, Head of the Health Promotion and Nutrition Department with the Health Authority of Anguilla.

The participants from the nine departments were also engaged in a number of their own presentations, including skits. In the afternoon they shared in various sporting activities.
