Dear Editor:
I heard on the radio the most bizarre statement by our Chief Minister, Hubert Hughes.
In brief, he was suggesting that he would never ‘stoop so low’ as to carry someone to court for defamation as others have done to him. How odd to suggest that the actual act of defending oneself against malicious lies about his/her character is in some way as bad, or worse, than perpetrating such lies.
I am in no way political, and can’t vote, but I found this to be a sad and sorry indictment on the judgment of our Chief Minister.
