Blaming England and or capitalism is pathetic. Blame the people who commit the crimes. I feel that Anguilla is at the point where some very trusted and known shopkeepers and business owners should be allowed to arm themselves. Once a few of these thugs are shot, things will change. Just not knowing whether the shopkeeper is armed would act as a deterent.

it is the result of over 20 years of capitalism on the island and of recent times the influx of Corporate America. Our culture had to change where the moral question is never on the table and now to be successful in Anguilla you have to lie to get by or fake it to make it. I think in the next few years Anguilla will prove to be a perfect example of how the UK mismanages her overseas territories by not providing for social change and advancement.
