The Anguilla National Culinary Team, wish to thank all their Sponsors, Supporters and the Anguilla Community for their continued support.
At this year’s Taste of the Caribbean, which took place from July 28th to the 2nd in Mimi the team performed brilliantly, and won many gold, silver and one bronze medal. There were ten Caribbean Island Teams Competing.
Mr. Darren Connor lead the team to a Team Gold, and also took the top awards of both the overall Chef of the year in the Beef category, and the Gold plate for the best use of beef. He has also won a fabulous educational trip and farm visits with Angus beef in the USA in the fall of 2015
As the team continue to chase the “OVERAL TEAM OF THE YEAR AWARD”, they have sent the message that they are back and will not stop until this is achieved and have moved up one notch closer to their goal. The purpose of the team is to continue the education and cultivation of young Anguillian culinary talents, as the Jr. Chefs move into the positions of senior chefs, as they evolve and grow their culinary skills.

Plans are being put in place for the selection of Team 2015, with celebrity guest judges alongside noted Anguillian Chefs, with the support of a local selection committee. please look out for further details. The team is coordinated by the Anguilla Hotel and Tourism Association, which falls under the umbrella of the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association.
Any restaurant employee that is working in an AHTA member restaurant or hotel, is eligible to compete for a spot on the National Culinary Team.
