Anguilla Hotel and Tourism Association facilitate training of in Pool handling

June 20th and 21st of, the Anguilla Hotel and Tourism Association facilitated the successful training and certification of 11 students in the area of Pool and Spa Maintaince and handling.

The training was held at the Anguilla Tourist Board Conference room, and noted trainer pool and spa trainer Mr. Jose Miguel Torres from Florida, owner of Paradise Pools Company, facilitated the training. Mr. Jose Miguel Torres, who owns Pool and Spa company and have been in business for the past 17 years, is a certified NSPF Instructor with Distinguished Awards for the Most Certifications to pool professionals.

Executive Director of the Anguilla hotel and Tourism Association Mrs. Gilda Gumbs –Samuel, said that she was pleased that the AHTA had undertaken this imitative , and the desire of the association is that they may continue to facilitate future training and certification courses as a benefit to their members, with focus on the entire membership, but efforts will be made to specific needs and attention of the smaller property staff training needs.
Persons trained and certified were from: Anacaona Boutique Hotel, Sunset Homes, Altamer Hotel, Shoal Bay Hotel, CuisinArt Golf Resort and Spa, and Cap Juluca, which are all members of the AHTA, with one exception of an independent student.
