The Department of Fisheries and Marine Resources in Anguilla has embarked on an exercise of tagging a number of turtles in the island’s waters.

The turtle tagging exercise took place on May 28 in Island Harbour Bay. A total of 17 turtles were tagged, some of which were recaptures.
The Department of Fisheries and Marine Resources was extremely pleased with the level of support received from the general public, the primary schools and especially from the fishermen at Island Harbour willingly gave their assistance.
