DSC_3961 DSC_3952A 31-item programme of cultural performances at the Orealia Kelly Primary School on Thursday, May 29, preceded the Anguilla Day celebration on Friday, May 30, and was well-received by the large and appreciative audience.

The cultural performances were dubbed a “pre-Anguilla Day Talent Expo”. It was organised by the teachers of the school in an effort to bring about a greater awareness of the 47th Anniversary of the Anguilla Revolution among the students.
Some of the main performances included a selection entitled “Anguilla: Father bless this land”; a dance and drama presentation: “We love boat-racing”; a fashion show; a dance: “My Anguilla”; a poem: “The Revolution”; and two songs: “This is Anguilla” and “Oh there’s a lovely Island.” The latter was a popular song during the revolutionary years 1967-1969.
