VALLEY PRIMARY SCHOOL WINNER OF ANGUILLA DAY QUIZ

The Annual Anguilla Day Quiz attracted a considerably large audience on Wednesday, May 21, at the Orealia Kelly School. It involved the participation of five of the island’s public/private Primary Schools.

The results showed that Valley Primary School, represented by Makwaune Hazell, Candiesha Richards and Jaivani Carty, emerged in first place with 92 points. The other results were as follows: 2nd: Adrian T Hazell Primary School: 84 points; 3rd: Vivien Vanterpool Primary School: 81 points; 4th: Orealia Kelly Primary School: 60 points; and Alwyn A Richardson Primary School: 58 points.

The quiz, conducted by Mr Kenneth Hodge, Principal Assistant Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs, was organised under the auspices of the Education Department.

Formerly, the event was sponsored by Caribbean Cable Communications. A new sponsor is being sought for the Anguilla Day Quiz for May 2015 and beyond.
