Building of Wall Fence

The attention of The Anguillian has been drawn to a small, but important, self-help, project aimed at protecting a road-side family residence at Roaches Hill.

The residence, which was owned by the late Agnes Petty, a popular and well-mannered figure in Anguilla, and is now occupied by family members, was recently run into by a passing vehicle. Luckily, none of the occupants was injured. The damaged side of the house was repaired by well-known builder, Mr George Brooks (Jiggy George).

A wall fence, in order to safeguard the residence, is now being erected by Ms Petty’s grandson, Harry, assisted by a number of friends.

Harry Petty is not only grateful to his friends, but has expressed gratitude to personnel in the Road Section of the Department of Infrastructure for visiting the area and approving the erection of the protective wall fence.
