Commissioner of Police, Rudolph Proctor, has issued a strong warning to persons planning to engage in violence at Festival Del Mar at Island Harbour over the weekend.
“I want to say directly to those in our community that we are going to adopt a zero tolerance approach in dealing with people who break the law,” he warned. “If you are coming to socialise and enjoy the entertainment at Festival Del Mar and Into the Blue event, please do not come with any substances or illegal weapons of any sort because you will be extracted and prosecuted at a later date.”

The Police Commissioner said he had made the statement in response to questions from a number of persons whether it was safe for them to attend Festival Del Mar.

He stressed that the Police would be out in large numbers and were prepared to deal with any threat of violence.
